Christmas means a lot of different things to everyone. A time for family re-unions, family holidays, getaways and food. Even through it’s different fro everyone, for the most part, Christmas is special time for giving…What does Christmas mean to you?

 A Special Time For Giving

It’s that time of year again and OMG how this year has flew. With just a few weeks away from Christmas, I can’t help but share my excitement. I feel so joyful this time of year, it’s just great to see people happy and enjoying themselves with family and friends.

Christmas to me means spending time with family and friends, enjoying the moments of celebration with the ones we love and we hold dear in our lives. Christmas to me means watching the happy faces of your kids on Christmas morning when you share those long-awaited gifts. But Christmas is not like for everyone.

There are homeless people out there, just searching for a warm blanket to sleep at night. Or poorer families that can’t afford to celebrate with the opening of gifts.

Every year we’d had the pleasure of sharing those precious moments and I’ve been totally grateful to be able to but I can’t help it feel guilty as well.

I often think about it those in need. I think if Christmas is a time for giving and receiving, I believe everyone should be able to recieve something special.

Whether it’s sleeping blankets, warm clothes, food and even toys for kids that are less fortunate. I’ve always wanted to do something around Christmas that would really help out those in need.

So this year will be different.

This time it’s a special time for giving.

I pledge to donate used clothes and the kid’s toys that they no longer play with, and boy, do they have a lot of. I’m grateful that even though my kids can be spoiled at times and crazy like us, they are always willing to help those in need or are less fortunate than us.

This year, as a family will put aside some time before Christmas to give hope back to those in need. Give what we can so they can experience what it means to have a happy Christmas.

If we all stopped to think about this and share the christmas spirit this year. We can all have a safe and happy Christmas.

You know, Santa will love you for sure and what you get back in return in good vibes is 10 fold.

Think about all the people that don’t have families, or aren’t fortunate enough to enjoy the pleasures that most of us do.
Let’s give this Christmas, give to the needy, give to less fortunate so they too, can celebrate and be joyful this Christmas and enjoy the festive season.

That’s what it’s all about. That warm fuzzy feeling you get, that let’s you know you’re helping to make this world a better place.  That’s it for now.
